AUDIO CD
All the songs in Hip, Hip, Hooray! are action songs. The tunes are easy to sing along with, catchy and highly memorable. Children get activated through the songs in a series of fun ways: they listen to the songs and point at pictures, they join in making meaningful movements that help them to remember the lyrics, and gradually they begin to hum and sing along. |

They will soon memorise the words of an entire song.
Action stories – based on the principle of Total Physical Response – help the children to understand English easily. They learn how to do things in English from the very beginning! The Audio CD and the Stories Video offer highly attractive native-speaker input – children love imitating them, and thus acquire good pronunciation. Attractive sound effects increase the children’s motivation to imitate what they hear.

ACTIVITY FILES
The twelve Activity Files form the core of the children’s learning process. They use these files in highly enjoyable ways – while they listen to a song, they point at pictures depicting its lyrics; they stick in pictures and parts of pictures; they colour in drawings, and visually reconstruct the story-lines of the video sequences with the help of puzzle pieces.
The activities have been carefully designed in such a way that they help to foster the child’s language growth in a fun way. At the same time, they significantly influence the child’s cognitive development. Based on Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences, they develop of a range of thinking skills that go beyond language learning and will be extremely useful as wider life skills.
